Duties

● Led Manufacturing function, creating process for product manufacturing in Batch Master Software and training employees on how to comply with the steps involved.

● Managed Production department, including Filling, Packaging, Shipping, Receiving and Maintenance teams.

● Managed Purchasing department (Raw Material, Packaging Supplies and Equipments), guiding the team to research suppliers to identify the optimal partner, negotiate with potential suppliers to balance quality and pricing, and leverage modified Fishbowl Software to track purchasing.

● Managed Safety, Environmental, and Waste Management at the facility, including the development and delivery of General Safety training, Forklift training and Certification issuance.

● Led a team of permanent and seasonal staff, partnering with managers on staff hiring, supervision, and performance management.

● Set minimum standards and provided technical guidance and support for design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems used in the manufacturing process.

● Built the Packaging and Filling departments from the ground up, moving these services from a third party vendor in 1991 to in-house management to optimize for cost and process control.

● Managed the company’s move to a new facility in 2006, leading the manufacturing function in organizing the new space to optimize for efficiency and safety and ensuring business continuity.

● Increased production by 30% in 3 years and decreased lead time by 30% in 1 year by partnering with technical staff to enhance personnel training, transition to semi-automatic processes, and introduce better production equipment to personnel.

● Served as a critical manufacturing partner throughout a third party’s acquisition of Flamemaster and associated transitions, ensuring newly joined facilities across the US were set up for success.

● As Safety Officer, led the company in setting and maintaining COVID policies to ensure employee safety remained a priority as pandemic protocols evolved. Incendex International - Montreal, Canada
