Serve as a key advisor to department leadership in managing cross-functional programs.

• Organizes procurement-related business system applications for purchasing, inventory, sourcing, solicitations, evaluation, execution, and administration under Texas procurement laws and Airport policies for legal and ethical procurement practices.

• Designs and supervises the quarterly non-contract spend analysis effort in data collection and categorization for cost-saving opportunities in $10 Million.

Studies and disseminates information to subordinates concerning federal and state laws and regulations, Board policies, and market trends to ensure a high level of professional competence; Develops, monitors, updates, and amends contract general terms and conditions and special provisions as required.

Provides contract funding status and funding estimates in support of timely payments; Ensures funds are available for new contracts, and change orders/modifications and oversees progress payments to ensure they are within the terms and conditions of the contracts.

Writes fact-based correspondence on sensitive and critical issues and reviews subordinates' correspondence.

Ensures compliance with commercial or business aspects of work (i.e. wage rates, bond, and insurance requirements); in conjunction with Risk Management ensures adequacy of insurance coverage and continued coverage throughout the contract performance period.
