Responsible for 5 restaurants in Southeastern PA from August, 2006 to September, 2007. Previously responsible for 6 restaurants in North and South Carolina
Opened 5 of 6 restaurants in the Carolinas. This region, in its third year, won the award for the best overall region in Smokey Bones even though it had the third lowest guest count average in the concept.
Trained my replacement for the Carolinas. Also guided the development of 5 managers until they were promoted to General Managers.
General Manager (March 2001 – August 2003)
Won Darden’s highest award, Diamond Club, in 2002.
Helped 4 of my direct manager reports get promoted to General Manager.
Opened the Citrus Park, FL location. Trained a new Director of Operations on how to do an opening.
Won the Thurwanger award for service excellence as determined by mystery shops for four consecutive quarters. No other restaurant has won the award more than twice.

Spent first 5 months on the team that developed and opened the first Smokey Bones. Helped develop the first menu. Put initial systems in place on how to operate the kitchen for the concept.
