• Ensure walkways are safe from slip and trip hazards.

• Assist the ship agents to account for all visitors before the vessel sails off.

I helped reduce accidents in and out the port by assisting the police in identifying the traffic offenders, like red light violation, over speeding drivers and reporting of accidents.

Also managed to minimize property damage by reporting suspicious incidents like leaking chemical containers and reckless or drank truck drivers in the premises.

Some of the daily activities are as listed below:

• Operate all CCTV equipment and radio to provide pro-active and reactive monitoring of CCTV cameras to assist with detection of crime and suspicious behavior.

• Report all incidents observed by the CCTV cameras to the safety officer, HSSE supervisor and port police.

• Compile a list of dirty and offline cameras to the HSSE supervisor.

• Monitor the perimeter fence and Hamad port entry and exit gates to ensure unauthorized access to the port is reported to the port police and HSSE supervisor.

• Report any damages observed to the perimeter fence and facilities in the port and assist in identifying the culprit.

• Save incident recordings and make them available to the port police to assist with investigations.

• Report any suspected bags left unattended and ascertain who the owner is.

• Record vessel movement and relay the same to the safety officer to assist in compiling statistical reports.
