Insurance Specialist at Stat Medical. Was Connie Turner ar that time. Did billing for several doctors offices. If claim got over 30 days I would call insurance office to see why payment had not been made. We billed for over 15 different procedures for physician's offices. If claim was denied I would correct it and send it back in for payment. Posted M/Caid, M/Care and patients payments. I know if we sent a corrected claim in it needed to be on a CMS 1500 CLAIM Form. Most M/Caid denial were because the medicaid number was off by one number. I tried to make sure M/Caid was done first because you only have 365 days unless it's IP or a nursing facility claim.
