Scheduling, budgeting and contract review for ground improvement projects. New projects bid estimating, start up prep and job site analysis. Cost approvals, written change orders and verification of contractual obligations. Job site management of JAFEC employees and local union operators and general labor hired employees. Initial contact with owner, general contractor, vendors, and local inspectors.

Accomplishments

• Currently on site Senior Project Manager for Deep Soil Mixing project with the Army Corp of Engineers for the levee system in New Orleans, LA. We are installing DSM panels 35’ deep with a 6 auger mixing system with 4’ diameter columns. Challenges have been numerous weather delays. Rising river levels (no work on levee if river is 11’) stoppage and 5 Hurricanes which stop production.

• In 2018 San Jose, CA PM for ground improvement (DSM, Deep Soil Mixing) project valued at $16M for the Santa Clara School District. Project consist of a K through 12 school buildings along with stadium bleachers for sporting events. Successfully negotiated a reduction in equipment rental payments due to force majeure. • Complete on time and within budget $1.4M CalTrans project consisting of Soil Nails, Permanent Tiebacks for a 3 tiered complex retaining wall.

• Completed project for privately owned developer in San Francisco City (The Urban School). Infill project consisted of shoring adjacent to church and residential structures utilizing Underpinning, Soldier Beam and Lagging, with shotcrete finish on partial exposed wall. Accomplishments

• Completion on schedule of Universal Studio project 384 (Harry Potter Experience). Project consisted of 411 caissons within a new structure located on the site of previous Gibson Amphitheater. The project was completed on schedule and to the satisfaction of the general contractor, PCL. In addition, temporary shoring and lagging was installed to allow for the construction of the proposed structure. A total of 76 beams were installed with removal depths of over 20 vertical feet. • Successfully completed the Barton Pump Station Upgrade in West Seattle, WA. The project was completed on schedule and to the satisfaction of both owner, King County, WA, and the general contractor, Prospect Construction Inc. The project consisted of two bottom seal areas and five curtain wall areas. The location was adjacent to the Puget Sound at the Fauntleroy Ferry making the project a highly visible and environmental sensitive undertaking. Hayward Baker Inc. Keller Group, Santa Paula, CA

• Successfully completed a three phase ground modification for the MTA Gold Line overpass at La Brea Ave. and Exposition Center Ave. for the City of Los Angeles. Closely worked with SCE in the relocation of overhead power which would have suspended work indefinitely. Project completed on time and within budget.

Land Development Manager 2005 – 2008

Directed and managed the land development construction of communities ranging from 166 detached condominiums, 125 single family homes, and a master plan community of 1800 total home sites. Responsible for the construction, jurisdictional inspections, permitting, scheduling, soliciting bids, budgets Final walk through for COO and daily management of each project. Accomplishments:

• Obtained certificates of occupancy for 5 phases of 6 phase development, 66 lots total, within less than 10 months of initial rough grading.

• Exonerated 6 bonds on 5 different projects within 3 months for projects more than 5 years old, by establishing working relationships with the City of Santa Clarita and County of Los Angeles Education Certifications/ Additional Skills
