I have worked for 40 years in education and community development, both in the US and abroad, and for the past 10 years at the Community Schools Initiative at Chicago Public Schools. Program Coordinator, Community Schools Initiative January 2014-Present

● Manage 21st Century Learning Center Grants, totaling $3.15M per year; responsible for 15-20 schools annually

● Oversee all aspects of community schooling, including program development and evaluation, parental involvement and programming, grant reporting and compliance, budgeting

● Serve on the evaluation team overseeing Learning Center Grants; participate in the development and implementation of a Continuous Quality Improvement Process for all grantee schools

● Present at several community schools conferences, both locally and nationally

● Co-wrote “Community School Partnerships and Continuous Improvement” chapter in Community Schools: People and Places Transforming Education and Communities, a book about community schools, based on personal experiences working with schools in Chicago
