Our crew changed all the PS-V's and gaskets. Pulled all the old and replaced with all new and sent the old out for repairs. Also changed out two banks with valves and gaskets. Cleaned up all the areas that work was completed in. Job was a very short and quick changeover.

My job was to read blueprints, measure, cut, prepare, fabricate pipe and have it ready set up on jack stands or what not for welders to weld in place. Worked on maintenance crew for quite a while so with that being said though official title was boilermaker after finally being able to take my test with them, my job was to actually help in any and all areas that needed help rather it is on a shovel, shoveling out ash, or what have you to actually working the boilers, exchangers etc. I actually started out with them making $10.50 an hour and worked up after passing the test to 21.75 during turnaround, I also supervise run the labor crews during a short turnaround. My duties entailed working alongside them still doing my duties helping them just with a radio and with paperwork to do and a dollar more an hour during turnarounds. I had to Oversee that they were on their job, shoveling, hole watching, fire watching or even picking up trash out of the units. I used a variety of different tools in different fields at the Energy plant in Westlake Louisiana.
