Certified Nurse Assistant
**** * ******* ******* **** people when I was 16. I cared for a sweet little couple. I did their shopping and paid their bills. I did housework, yard work, cleaning and prepared meals for them until I was almost 18. That is when they both passed away. I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant until 2018. I am still in the medical field registering pediatric patients in a clinic setting.
2001 - Current
UC Health.
I have worked for UC Health for a long time. I started as a CNA. I worked on the Neuro Unit, Post Trauma Unit, Medical Unit, Ortho/Spine Unit, Rehab Unit, Cardiac Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and the Progressive Cardiac Unit. I have done many roles in my seventeen plus years. I have been a ward clerk, inputting Doctors orders and making the unit run smoothly. I have been a nurse aid, doing vitals, baths, walking patients, dressing changes, diabetic and radiology registration. I registered for x-ray and labs, diabetic education and cardiovascular testing. I am currently in the Pediatric clinic registering patients. I am a people person. I have patients that stop by to just say Hi, very frequently. I love working with people! Trying to get them where they need to be and providing all the help I can with a smile on my face. My goal everyday is to make a difference in someone's life, big or small. I want people to remember the one who took such great care of them. I have learned from every person I have worked with, patients, co workers and Doctors. I believe that everyone has something valuable to teach me. I am always listening. I don't want to miss anything. I believe everyday is a gift and I know that I am needed by someone, … and I’m ready to make a difference in someone's life!

Most recently I have worked with the little people. They have brought me great joy. I register them to see the Dr. I put in their insurance information and make sure things are verified. I gather personal information and take payments. I work with rescheduling patients when there is conflict with schedules. I run and deliver the right fax. I send and receive HIM and ROC documents. I keep the patients informed if a Dr is running late. I keep my waiting room clean. Communication is a key. I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given.
