Senior Financial Analyst FP&A: Airgas Merchant Gases (AMG), Radnor, PA, June 2019 to Current.

-Primary duties consist of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for AMG supply chain and logistics North and South Zone Distribution. These are reported as Cost Centers and broken into variable costs and fixed costs by line-item. I track spend in categories related to Salaries, Distribution, SG&A, and Occupancy P&L blocks collaborating with 10+ Location Managers.

-Directly responsible for ongoing monthly Distribution financial reviews with various locations across the US to improve business results. I consistently stay up to date with my assigned Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) and annual targeted goals regionally and nationally. I regularly collaborate with small groups from multiple departments such as Fleet for equipment along with Human Resources for recruiting to achieve coordinated results.

-I negotiate, track spend, evaluate, and monitor Dedicated Logistics Contracts on an ongoing basis to verify accuracy and compliance to the terms of each contract and its amendment or renewal.

-I prepare ad hoc reporting as requested by management for specific projects as needed. Examples include Open PO clean-up for operational versus capital expense, audit and alignment of equipment costs with domiciled location of equipment, and downtime outage cost estimates for production plants supplying to distribution locations.

-I report on Airgas company-wide Salaries monthly for more than 1,600 employees. I present a comprehensive analysis on rate versus volume (headcount) impacts for Production, Distribution, and Administration.

-Extensive use of the Microsoft suite especially related to Excel and add-ins for Excel, Google Suite, BPC Budget System, and SAP accounting system. I have also experienced it to be very advantageous to learn and adapt to multiple Custom Built Software Programs.

-Travel as needed has mostly consisted of quarterly Distribution Zone meetings in Ohio and Florida.

Senior Financial Analyst: Penske Logistics, Reading, PA. February 2018 to May 2019.

-Updated and monitored key financial metrics, highlighting trends and analyzing variances, communicate the financial health of each of my 14 assigned Dedicated Contract Carrier (DCC) locations to Senior Management for improved decision making.

-Prepared annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and KPI reporting, including P&L performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis.

-Prepared complex analysis for contracted rate increases and pricing renewal proposals annually or as needed.

-Utilized the Microsoft Suite including Excel and add-ins, Hyperion, and Fleet Manager, travelled occasionally.

Finance Analyst II: Acme Markets, New Albertsons, Inc., Malvern, PA. March 2017 to February 2018.

-Prepared reports for 175 store locations made up of 9 regional districts, conducted variance analysis and responded to district manager queries, analyzed guidance, wrote forecasts &budgets for assigned expense blocks, prepared sales tax credit submissions, tracked and reported inventory and shrink risk, prepared and submitted period-end accrual journal entries and correcting journal entries, submitted gift card orders.

-Extensively utilized Microsoft Suite including Excel and add-ins, Hyperion, and Oracle.

Department Analyst: Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rosa, CA. Aug 2014 to Oct 2016.

-I conducted Detention Facility analysis of Law Enforcement operations, budget preparation and control, equipment usage tracking, staffing patterns, workflow, space utilization, and commissary inventory counts.

-Developed budgets based on data collected including impact on service levels and operations and information required by funding sources; assisted in the development of fiscal procedures; performed internal control of specific departmental purchasing; reviewed financial data on an ongoing basis to assure conformance with established guidelines.

-Prepared contract agreements and statements of work (SOW’s) with adherence to funding sources from layers of government agencies (more complex agreements were written by Legal Staff). Wrote and released bid proposal requests; interpreted contract terms; recommended solutions to contractual problems. Examples of contracts include inmate medical services and medical materials, inmate uniforms and cleaning services, Corrections Officer uniforms, inmate food services, inmate transportation and hospitalization, commissary services, and inmate educational programs.

-Applied time management techniques to diverse tasks and projects with competing deadlines, travelled occasionally.

-Maintained complex financial records; assisted in the development of policy administration and procedures; prepared financial and statistical statements and reports.

-Prepared financial analysis independently; checked and balanced reconciliations; provided tracking and auditing information on records maintained and procedures followed in compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
