Select Military Health System (MHS) legacy clinical systems including AHLTA, Composite Health Care System (CHCS), inpatient, and clinical components of the Theater Medical Information Program-Joint (TMIP-J) will be replaced during the implementation of MHS GENESIS.

Currently, the Agency uses outdated information to adjudicate claims. The Vocational Information Tool (VIT) will replace current applications used by the Agency to access medical-vocational information at steps 4 and 5 of the sequential evaluation. The goal of the new VIT application is to provide updated occupational information needed for disability determinations at steps four and five and to achieve overall improvement in the SSA disability adjudication process.

Activities:
