I worked my way from being a receptionist at the front desk to becoming a precertification coordinator to now being an office manager. I have grown a lot since taking on the office manager position 3 years ago. I manage two locations. We have 3 providers and 4 NPs with 30 employees. I manage the day-to-day activity of a medical office. I work closely with my 3 providers. While in this role I have learned how to process invoices from outside vendors, worked contracts, bank deposits, work with upper management when requested, created spreadsheets, check in and check out patients. Communicate with patients, vendors, employees and providers.

I then moved to being the precertification coordinator were I called insurance company’s or went on their website and performed authorization requirements.
