Operations Supervisor.

EMD is a contractor for Samsung, the scope of supplied services includes maintaining the operation, and repair of chemical distribution equipment; bulk liquid chemical management, life safety systems, and first responder services. As a supervisor I must ensure compliance in operation and procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.

I oversee technicians working on 4 rooms of slurry distributions units that maintain supply of chemical to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and support total chemical management project, operations scheduling, execution,

and completion activities and to be a key customer interface for all operations, along with project-related and special requests.

* Report quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation process.

* Complete preventative and corrective maintenance and take ownership of non-conforming events database. Maintain online

systems to address operational concerns in a timely manner reducing the amount of downtime.

close action items.

* Monitor and report any equipment or service excursion and perform appropriate escalation to customer.

* Maintain online shift schedule, supervise all attendance and performance-related issues, and deliver employee feedback as

recommended or required.

Responsibilities, Duties, and accomplishments: Travelled to China for 4 months in order to identify production process gaps between China and Zacatecas.

* Once back in Zacatecas improved the efficiency of production lines from 62% to 92%, (78% was reached in a month).

Responsibilities, Duties, and accomplishments: Manage Human / Materials Resources to achieve production schedule.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations including but not limited to the following:

Management of 2 Production Supervisors, 1 Materials/Stock Supervisor, 2 Maintenance Technicians, 2 Quality Inspectors, 5 material handlers, and 59 operators.

* Production; Manage resources, people, -, equipment to ensure the production schedule is met timely and efficiently, this

includes approximately 460 different part numbers. Develop productions processes and work instructions. Introduce new products

and processes, make sample parts for engineering use, and assist in getting approvals for permits to cross parts/products in and out of Mexico.

* Quality; Coordinate the activities of 2 Quality Inspectors, develop inspection procedures and reports.

Conduct quality testing providing Compliance Certifications when needed. Coordinate the P.O# done and incoming

inspection of raw material from a supplier in Mexico. Monitors all quality functions including defective material and

the disposition of that material.

* Materials; Direct the activities of Material Handling personnel. Responsible for maintaining inventory levels on raw

materials and consumable items. This is accomplished through weekly inventories and cycle counts.

Develop methods on Excel spreadsheets to maintain inventories and locations of spare parts for

equipment as well as forms to identify final products and raw material requisition/returns.

Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance on equipment. Develop purchase requisitions for equipment,

spare parts, and new equipment/tools. Work with an outside machine shop to build fixtures and/or tooling repairs as

needed. Assist with technical support to make repairs to equipment that operates with PLCs. MRP System—Works

with the MRP system to maintain schedules, report production. Record inspections, check inventories, request

materials, etc. Provide training to others on the MRP System. Communicate with the US through the use of E-mails,

telephone, and the use of a Webcam when needed.

* Accomplishments; Reduced 7 people through improved efficiencies and new equipment reducing from 2 Shifts to 1 shift with no

decrease in productivity. Move to a different plant twice with no materials, machinery, or production needs problems.

Responsibilities, Duties, and accomplishments: I was hired as a supervisor and in 2 months I was promoted to Superintendent.
