Corporate Experience

• Worked as the Production Planning Manager in the molded plastic division of Monsanto in Mexico, in charge of the scheduling of production and mold maintenance and repair.

• Worked as a Pro-Manager in direct interaction with the credit committee of Citibank in Mexico, being responsible for lending to the domestic industrial clients, mostly in the chemical, mining, cement, paper, coating/paint, pharmaceutical, beverage, and food industries.

• Worked as part of the top-management team of currently a CEMEX company in Mexico, as the Corporate Director of Marketing, Sales, and Distribution, with executive responsibilities over a four-member management team and a workforce of three hundred workers and employees. As part of the job, designed, implemented, and supervised the marketing, sales, and distribution strategies and action plans of the company and participated, as a member of the corporate logistics management team, in the scheduling and coordination of the operation of four large cement bulk-carrier sea vessels and more than one thousand bulk and bag railcar containers. Having already a network of sea terminals on the Gulf of Mexico under supervision, was in charge of the installation of a network of rail freight terminals in the main cities of the Western region of the country. Participated in the negotiations with the local union for the annual review of the collective work contract ("contrato colectivo de trabajo") and the handling of worker complaints. Was instrumental in the negotiations with the federal government officials of the Mexican Industry and Commerce Secretariat, to establish product prices for their control and regulation. Was President of the Marketing Committee of the National Cement Chamber which, by law, gathered all domestic manufacturers. In that position, led all the Marketing Directors of the different companies in the coordination efforts with the federal government authorities to satisfy, in terms of quantity, location, and timing, the needs of the private and public sectors of the whole country. As the leader of an ad-hoc executive team, was responsible for the full revamping project of the company’s image from the logo re-design and applications, to the national communications and public relations campaign.

• Having moved to the U.S., worked as a career Agent for an insurance company of the French financial conglomerate AXA.

• Worked as a registered Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley private investment bank, being responsible for gathering assets and monitoring the investment portfolio of high net-worth individuals.

• Worked as the Marketing and Training Director of the International Division of Conseco Financial Group throughout all of Latin America. In charge of the design and delivery of sales training programs tailored to the needs of local general agencies and producers. Over one thousand Agents and General Agents were trained in selling skills and product knowledge and applications in a two-year period.

• Was a District Leader for PFS a member company of Citigroup in Florida in charge of hiring, training, and developing a group of thirty Financial Analysts to market and sell the company’s products and services in Florida, including the “Latino market segment”.

• Worked as the Sales and Training Manager of the Florida Insurance Division of The Royal Bank of Canada Financial Group, in charge of hiring, training, and supervising a team of sixteen experienced Agents.

Worked as the Agency Supervisor of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of New York in Coral Gables, Florida.

Currently working as an Independent Asset Protection Specialist with his own company Assets Fusion, LLC.

Coaching, Training, and Consulting

• As owner and President of SUMMA Consulting Company worked with the top management of banking institutions in Latin America to design and implement their Bank-Assurance projects, among them: Banco Roberts (now part of the HSBC), Banco de Galicia, both in Argentina, and Banco Santiago in Chile.

• Worked as a trainer and coach in marketing and selling skills of the sales force of major insurance companies in Latin America, among them: Grupo Nacional Provincial in Mexico, La Buenos Aires and Inca Seguros in Argentina, Seguros Bolivar in Colombia, La Internacional de Seguros in Panama, La Panamericana de Seguros in El Salvador.

• Designed and delivered the training program for the sales force of MAXIMA AFJP, during the launch of the private pension system in Argentina. Was responsible for leading a team of senior consultants and trainers in a "train-the-trainer" module to fully equip a group of 100 local facilitators, who in turn trained 4,500 representatives throughout the whole country, in a period of eighteen months.

• As an independent contractor, was responsible for the design and facilitation of training modules and workshops for private companies and government institutions in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic on the following subjects: Total Quality according to Edwards Deming, Process Reengineering, ISO 9000, Managerial Skills and Competences, "How to Export to the U.S."
