PERSONAL PROFILE

An enthusiastic and conscientious Sociologist earned a Master degree from Government College University, Faisalabad with over three years experience specifically in research, monitoring & evaluation, community mobilization and advocacy with diverse but marginalized communities at grass-root the development sector. I have worked with Herald Publication (A public opinion survey) as a Survey Supervisor and with Urban Unit as Monitoring Officer, a project of Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC), I successfully monitor and observe the census of public and private healthcare establishments in Sheikhupura and with BEDARI a project by FAFEN as Observing Officer successfully monitor and observe selected polling station in district Sheikhupura. I also worked as Feature Writer with Punjab Lok Sujag Faisalabad. I have done my academic Internship and co-operate assignment by Department of Sociology, GC University Faisalabad to assist the Urban Unit in a number of departmental activities in district Faisalabad. I have completed an independent research dissertation on Situational Analysis of Trans genders after getting CNIC by the Government of Pakistan". I had to be extremely self-motivated. I set my own deadlines and targets and became confident in taking direction from my supervisor. I gained excellent experience in the research, organization and presentation of a complex subject.

I was also called upon during the course to give seminar presentations as part of a team. This required the careful structuring and organisation of ideas into a PowerPoint presentation and this enabled me to develop excellent communication skills.

In this public opinion survey, I carried out implementation of project activities in the assigned district Sheikhupura with the operational guidelines of enhanced Cases/ Active case findings intervention under this project.

Monitoring officer (Sheikhupura) Punjab Health Commission (PHC), Lahore (Feb 2016 -- Feb 2017)

During the work with The Urban Unit, I successfully conducted the census of public and private healthcare establishments in District Sheikhupura with the team of four surveyors. During my job I facilitate my team of surveyors and also monitor them in my selected area.

During this short period, I successfully monitor and observe selected polling station in district Sheikhupura. I was Responsible to report and maintain the record updated on daily basis.

I have done my academic Internship and co-operate assignment by Department of Sociology, GC University Faisalabad. My biggest test of organization was completing my dissertation. It took me months of in-depth research, compressing information and finally displaying it to a standard I was happy with. I was extremely proud when it was graded a 1st.

Whilst working as a supervisor level I was in charge of organizing a team of 10 employees on their daily tasks and duties, and ensuring these were performed with quality

Persuading and Influencing

Working on various projects I liaised with many household and used my persuasive skills to peruse them to be part of the survey.

During copious seminars and work experience I gained experience in discussing and debating various topics and persuading others to make a transition to my way of thinking.

Computing skills

I completed the Diploma in Computer Application & Office Professional (14 Months) from Punjab vocational training council, Govt. of the Punjab am now proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Windows and Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InPage with the typing speed of 30WPM Plus.

Interests and Additional Information

•Driving: Owned 70cc bike with full and clean driving

•Traveling: I travelled independently throughout the major cities of Punjab i.e Sheikhupura, Sargodha, hafizabad, chiniot, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and Lahore as my field of work.
