Acting COO and Director of Global Sales & Marketing Operations

• Initially hired as Director of Global Sales & Marketing Operations to help form and execute a turn - around strategy; sales declines occurred when the owner/founder was diagnosed with cancer and absent from the business for a lengthy period of time. General responsibilities increased to running both the sales organization globally as well as the day-to-day operations of the company overall as acting COO.

• Responsibilities on the management side as active COO included accountability by each department head to increase efficiencies while decreasing cost, charging all department heads with specific assignments that evolved around an entire rebuilding plan. Task include reorganizing the sales department including the hiring of new sales staff and broker organizations, engaging in new marketing strategies and tactics to help grow increase consumer demand, working on enhanced product packaging as well as the development of innovative new product plans, developing strong sales and marketing presentation materials and numerous other tasks across all departments.

• Responsibilities on the sales management side included reorganizing the entire field sales organization, expanding into new channels beyond the natural channel (including FDM, Healthcare, professional and service channels), and expanding sales with new direct to consumer and call centers outreach initiatives.

• Re-engaged with all existing and top targeted new customers by attending numerous trade shows including ECRM, Expo West, NACDS and retailer specific trade show events.

• Attended major account “top to top” meetings and sales calls to shore up distribution gaps and position new items with all major retailers including Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, Walgreens, CVS, Meijer, HEB, Albertson’s/Safeway, AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Drug, McKesson, and numerous others as well as major regional retailers including HEB, Bartell Drug, Harris Teeter, etc.

2014 – 2017 Fusion Diet Systems & Fusion Biotech, Sandy, Utah CEO (sold company in 2017)

• Chief Executive Officer of a dynamic, fast paced health care products company making hybrid dietary supplements that use clinically proven ingredients to address consumers needs in a way that has not been done by existing dietary supplements.

• Responsibilities included engagement with private equity, venture capital and factoring companies for purposes of securing funding to fuel staged and rapid growth and expansion.

• Developed and reviewed 3-5 year financial growth models with Fusion Biotech's CFO.

• Worked across all departments overseeing the functionality, financial synergies and operational functions of each department.

• InQpharm Malaysia / Biotech: cultivated sales & business development & expansion into in North America for unique ingredients with IP; worked with numerous corporations to partner on brand development including companies like Novartis, Prestige Brands, Pharmavite and Metagenix.
