Personal Statement

It was through the efforts of my supporting church family, my own family upbringing and my own sinfulness that I began to crave Christ as my redeemer. I accepted His gift at the age of seven, and since have dedicated my life to living in His grace, and showing His love. I believe that Youth Ministry is a ministry done by the youth, for the youth, and with the youth of a local church. In ministry, I believe that God gives each of us a task to pursue and develop. I believe he is equipping me to make a difference in peer ministry. This takes place through the ministry opportunities He has blessed me with, and allowing key students to be involved in His work. Through the areas of discipleship and training I would challenge youth and its supporters to be responsible citizens for the Kingdom of God. My ministry would specifically focus on the interaction of students and caring supportive parents and lay ministers. God continually shows me that being involved in His ministry means raising the standard, following without discretion, and being an effective witness for Him in every individual I interact with.
