OBJECTIVE. To obtain a challenging new position where my training and experience can be utilized and new skills can be developed.

QUALIFICATIONS.

Able to perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist the anesthesiologist in performing anesthetic procedures. Able to prioritize and determine which task to attend to first. Willing and able to assume any and all anesthesia technician responsibilities. Work efficiently under pressure and in stressful environments. Able to anticipate the needs of the anesthesiologist, and maintain good communication with all members of the healthcare team. Have experience with all general surgery cases, as well as cardiac, thoracic, pediatric, geriatric, bariatric, and all obgyn/ spinal/ cesarean section procedures. Specialize in assisting anesthesiologist with difficult intubation procedures, including fiber optic scope, glide scope, providing cricoid pressure, and maintaining airway with essential difficult airway necessities, such as oral airways, bougies, fast tracks, etc. Familiar with setting up, maintaining and trouble-shooting all essential and fundamental equipment. Including all anesthesia machines, such as the Draeger/Apollo, Datex-Ohmeda, Aisys, etc. And Critical care monitoring equipment, such as: EKG, Pulse Oximetry, BIS monitor/probe, capnography, TEE probe, sonosite/ultrasound, ABG, Bart cell saver, nerve stimulator, hotlines, and level one. Assist anesthesiologist with all invasive lines, including; arterial lines, central venous lines (CVP), swan-ganz catheters, pediatric, and adult IV's.

EDUCATION.

2006-2007 Graduated from the Anesthesia Technician School at Grossmont College. Completed a total of 486 hours of hands on training in hospitals throughout San Diego. Received certification as an Anesthesia Technician. I have received certificates and training in Advance Cardiac Monitoring/Telemetry, EKG Technician, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

2004-2005 Graduated from Grossmont College Advance Cardiac Monitoring/EKG Technician academics. Telemetry/EKG entry-level and upgrade training for employment in hospitals, private practice and clinics as an EKG technician. Instruction covers the following areas: bioelectricity theory, EKG recording, and arrhythmia monitoring and recognition.

1996-2000 Graduated from Helix High School.

EMPLOYMENT.

2/2/2022-Current. Anesthesia Technician, Palomar Hospital

Have training with central lines(CVP). Room turn overs, and stocking all anesthesia carts, Also troubleshooting all anesthesia machines and equipment's. Assist anesthesiologist with difficult airways, with fiber optic and glide scope equipment. Set up adults and pediatrics I.V.'s hot lines, and cell-saver. Support Anesthesiologist with transporting and positioning patients in the operating room.

12/2016-09/2019 Anesthesia Technician, Sharp Grossmont Hospital.

Have hands on work experience and training with the following duties: Central lines (CVP), Arterial-lines, hotlines, sono-sities/ultrasound machines and preparation of the level one. Assisted in routine and emergency procedures, including preparation of difficult intubation cart and equipment such as the fiber optic scope, and glide scope. Clean anesthesia machines, monitors, and other equipment immediately following procedures, using aseptic, infection control technique. Setting up and calibrating monitoring devices such as: Baxter Pump, Alaris Pump, C02 monitors, EKG, pluse oximeter, and non-invasive blood pressure monitors(T-line). Have executed efficient troubleshooting with anesthesia machines and all anesthesia equipment. Stock all supplies and medication in anesthesia machines and carts prior to operations, and obtain any other specific materials and equipment in preparation for the providers upcoming patient's as requested by the anesthesiologist.

09/2008-10/2016 Anesthesia Technician, Kaiser Permanente Hospital.

Have experience with invasive lines: arterial lines, central lines (CVP), and swan-ganz catheters, including tray set-up using aseptic technique, to prepare for insertion, then zeroing-out transducers. Assisted with troubleshooting and maintenance of all anesthesia machines and equipment. Have also assisted with difficult intubations, fiber optic bronchoscope. Have experience setting up for MH protocol preparation, maintenance, and sterilization of equipment. Responsible for room turnovers, decontamination of equipment. Patient positioning, IV fluids, stock and maintained all anesthesia materials needed for the department. Assisted with operation and maintenance of the Draeger/Apollo, Datex-Ohmeda anesthesia machines. Prioritized anticipated the needs of the department based on caseload and complexity.

Demonstrates the ability to measure heart rate, electrical axis, pr interval, qt interval and r-s wave voltage. Determines normal and abnormal electrical and pericardial axis in the EKG tracing. Identifies the various atrio-ventricular blocks. Identifies the various types of ischemic changes in the EKG tracing, and immediately identifies and informs the provider of myocardial infarctions.
