ADVISORY ASSISTANCE: Provide individual assistance on benefits information offered by Tricare, Tricare for life, Veterans Affairs, Delta Dental, US Family Health Plan, Medicare, Medicaid, and numerous other healthcare service providers as well as group insurance programs, private programs and local programs that may be available from local veteran’s organization.

ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANCE: I perform administrative duties enrolling veterans and provide assistance to families and health care offices seeking resolution on health care services, enrollment and pension benefits.

RECEIVING AND SENDING CUSTOMER RELATED PHONE CALLS: Worked as part of a 9-person team specializing in client-based service. Received and processed upwards of 25 requests via telephone and Email hourly.

PROVIDES CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Received and responded to daily inquiries using multiple modalities of communication to accommodate clients. Was responsible for publishing and implementing quarterly training guidance and following up with clients to ensure that all coordination and directions where clearly understood by all clients to simplify what was required of them to stay within training standards.

RECORD AND DATA MANAGEMENT: Tracked and analyzed costs for monthly ammunition expenditures as well as updating client records via electronic data base to ensure that guidance was met. Through proper record keeping training costs were reduced by analyzing consumption rates and discovering inadequacies or redundancies in training programs. Costs where further reduced on systems by ensuring training was conducted prior to execution of events increasing the effectiveness of training at a lower cost per individual saving approximately $500,000 annually.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Developed a 5-day training exercise with 8 units and over 500 personnel occurring on 4 different locations involving 7 different equipment platforms during a 4-day span. This would not have been possible without using multiple forms of communication to stay in contact with clients daily to ensure that every user received the proper guidance in order to maximize their training time and resources available.

KNOWLEDGE OF VETERANS BENEFITS: Served as the subject matter expert for soldiers to help them understand their benefits and how to apply for them. Explained programs ranging from financial management assistance, applying for tuition assistance, health and dental care as well as employment assistance programs. Assisted soldiers develop a short term and long-term career transition plan and helped them utilize the VA program as well as the AW2 and WTB facilities.

RECORD AND DATA MANAGEMENT: Supervised a weekly maintenance program for 40 pieces of equipment. By keeping detailed records was able to bring 15 pieces of equipment back to a fully operational status in a 2-month time frame achieving a 95% Operational Readiness rating. This allowed the unit to train with all of its own organic equipment increasing overall effectiveness and readiness.

1ST BRIGADE COMBAT TEAM BRIGADE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER US ARMY

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RECORD MANAGMENT: Responsible for the security, accuracy, management and submission of over 4500 induvial records. Coordinated the activities of 7 HR departments located in 2 different countries via tele-conferencing, email, and the use of multi-line phone systems. Responsible for the development and submission of all personnel actions through the unit commander.

PROVIDED ISSUE RESOLUTION: Refined the Total Army Sponsorship Program from Brigade to Company level for 1st BDE at Fort Campbell. Implemented control measures that resulted in a 100% sponsorship rating of soldiers before they arrived at their unit of assignment.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE: Provided guidance and oversight to the awards section which enabled the reconciliation of over 350 late awards in a 9-month time span. Developed and supervised new procedures to ensure that awards were processed rapidly and accurately on a 10-day timeline with a 95% efficiency rating. This resulted in over 600 awards being approved and presented to individuals correctly and on time.

WARRIOR TRANSITION BATTALION ROI SQUAD LEADER US ARMY

PROVIDES CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Coordinated and developed the care and management of over 250 wounded warriors while serving as a member of the Triad of Leadership ensuring that the soldiers needs where effectively communicated to the next caregiver through coordination of weekly meetings between wounded warriors, doctors, therapists, case managers and all entities involved in individual healthcare plan.

KNOWLEDGE OF VETERANS BENEFITS: Used my knowledge of career transition programs and veterans’ assistance programs to help develop programs tailored to the needs of each client and their families as well. Assisted service members in planning for separation from the military by organizing and conducting mock interviews for transitioning service members. Assisted soldiers in preparing resumes, contacting guidance counselors at colleges and trade schools, communicated the importance of the SFL-TP in order to assist them develop a plan for their separation.

CLEAR COMMUNICATION: Was instrumental in the coordination of the movement of patients from local care facilities to complex care facilities. Controlled conversations with service members and medical personal to clearly and effectively communicate the needs of the soldiers(s) to the transportation team to ensure the safety and continued medical care of the patients as well as that of personnel movement team.

163rd COMBINED ARMS BATTALION SQUAD LEADER US ARMY

PROVIDED CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Member of security teams as part of daily operations for not only deployments but for operations in Germany and in the continental United States. Conducted access control operations with civilians stateside as well as overseas. I have served in multiple capacities in all of these teams ranging from physical searches to using thermal imaging equipment to passively search personnel.

RECORD AND DATA MANAGEMENT: Managed the commander’s maintenance programs to ensure that equipment valued in excess of 36 million dollars remained fully operational. Planned and organized training and maintenance schedules based on mission requirements and available personnel. Maintained an operational readiness rating of 90% for the duration of my time in the unit.

ISSUE RESOLUTION: Served as the guard force NCOIC with as many as 25 personnel positioned on fixed and roving positions for patrol base security during high level meetings with local leaders during OIF IIX. Responsible for the physical security of all personnel in various structures on a compound with multiple points of entry with local nationals arriving at various time of the meetings.

COMMANDING GENERALS MOUNTED COLOR GUARD OPERATIONS NCO US ARMY

PROVIDE ISSUE RESOLUTION: Developed a rider training program to ensure horse and rider safety. Implemented commanders risk assessment program to ensure that all training was conducted in a safe planned approach for animals and riders. As a result of risk management the CGMCG was able to conduct over 600 events in a 3 year span with no significant injury to animals or riders. This same approach kept this highly visible unit accident free while traveling over 50,000 miles a year with different types of vehicles, trailers, cargo and equipment.

RECORD AND DATA MANAGMENT: Received and processed 400 requests annually to develop, plan and coordinated the CGMCG annual calendar.
