Work History:

Senior Draftsman

Electrical Designer

The Shaw Group June 2008 – May 2009

●I was classified as Electrical Designer II which was simply because they needed a designer in the electrical group for drafting and engineering/clerical support. I spent a lot of time picking up red marks and as-built wiring diagrams, one-lines and a lot of panel schedules. Also, I spent a lot of time working on incorporating ECR's (Engineering Change Request), which meant updating drawings to match changes that were made in the field and to document these changes with the proper paperwork and in the appropriate databases. This was a tedious process complicated by a very poor network. I now believe that incorporating ECR's was the main reason I was hired. I was learning to size and locate panels and junction boxes when the client decided to take over this work themselves. The company I worked for was The Shaw Group which was contracted to Louisiana Energy Services. The project was the Nuclear Enrichment Facility located in Eunice, New Mexico. On this job I used AutoCAD 2006, Microsoft Word and Excel, and I was learning Visio to create flowcharts and diagrams.

Draftsman

Hess Corporation (Ref-Chem Contracted) 2002 - 2008

●Ref-Chem contracted me out to the Hess Corporation office located in Seminole, Texas. I was the only draftsman for this company. I provided drafting and engineering support to the Production Facilities Engineering department. This included the advancement and maintenance of the Seminole San Andres Unit which is a field consisting of 300 to 400 active wells and 21 satellite sites and 3 major batteries.

Designer/Draftsman

Ref-Chem, L.P. January 2000 - June 2008

●From 2000 through 2002 I worked in Ref-Chem's office located in Odessa, TX. I provided drafting for the Electrical Group of the Engineering Department.

In June of 2002 I accepted a contract position at Amerada Hess' Seminole, Texas production office.
