Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement

Developed visual management boards to track departmental KPI’s.

Value stream mapping of tablet manufacturing. Learned that eliminating wasted movements and having the proper tooling available resulted in a 10% increase in production.

Value stream mapping precipitation manufacturing process. Found and corrected source of unnecessary down time resulting in a continuous, more efficient and record production run.

Kaizen Events Led:

Proper labeling within tablet production area. Eliminated contamination between chrome and non-chrome products resulting in a cost savings of more than $110,000 over the previous year.

Yield improvement: by tracking dust collector material and reusing rather than sending out as scrap, reworked oversized material by re-screening.

Reduce employee exposure through improvements to various dust collection points on several different pieces of processing equipment.
