As a mechanical technologist was entitled to look after the whole process, from conceptualization to final draft, of product design development, evaluating its feasibility, addressing the challenges and providing the required solution for the problems faced. Job and responsibilities included:

•3D modeling & 2D drafting using Solidwork software for manufacturing and production configuration.

•Worked with SOLIDWORKS PDM system, to create and maintain a single data location and vault that can be accessed by users to store and retrieve files.

•Preparing 3D drawing to show the exploded view detailing & assembly detailing.

Research Assistant Aug 2012 -July 2014

Worked as a part of research team working on project to weld the dissimilar materials of AISI 304 stainless steel and oxygen-free copper using GTAW welding process. The objective was to develop a new welding procedure and to study the temperature distribution. As a part of team the job duties included:

•Collection of research data through experimentation.

•Recording experimental findings in laboratory notebook to analyze and interpret experimental findings.

•Performing GTAW, GMAW and Stick welding using semi- mechanized welding station to fuse the similar and dissimilar material.

•Testing and inspecting the welded structures to discover flaws.

•Measuring the transient temperature distribution during the welding using K-type thermocouple.

•Familiarity with applicable code of ASTM E384-11e1 for standard test method for knoop and vickers hardness of materials, ASTM E8/E8M-15a for tension testing of metallic materials.

Achievement

•Successfully designed and fabricated the semi- mechanized welding station.

•Developed the welding procedure using GTAW process for welding AISI 304 stainless steel and oxygen-free copper by investigating its mechanical properties, metallurgical studies and fracture behavior.

•Performed FEA studies for similar and dissimilar material welding to evaluate the transient temperature and stress distribution

Junior Design Engineer Aug 2008 -Aug 2009

K K Printing Machine Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd. India

Worked as a team member and prepared 3D modeling & 2D drafting of the machine component using Solid works. Was also responsible for redesigning the old components to improve the efficiency of the printing machines and for preparing the layouts using Auto CAD software.
