With over a decade of experience in mentoring young children with a focus on early childhood education, movement, music, and permaculture, I have created a process where all of these facets are highlighted in a play environment for children and their parents to enjoy.
EXPERIENCE
2008 – 2011
CHILDRENS GROUP GUIDE, Overcomer Covenent
At Overcomer I was tasked with the responsibility to create curriculum, art and play experiences focused on weekly themes for a group of 10-20 children ages 0-4 years old.
2013 – 2015
TEACHER, St. Marks Lutheran Church & Preschool
I became an assistant teacher with St. Marks in 2013 where I assisted the lead teacher with building curriculum for our class of 12 students - executing daily classes that included song circles, reading, art, plant identification & education, cleaning, and assisting with all other daily functions of the classroom. In my second year I was asked to become a lead teacher where I had my own classroom with an assistance teacher, becoming the main organizer for my program.
2016 – 2017
NANNY, private family
In this role I would tend the family’s newborn and my own newborn simultaneously while also preparing meals, cleaning and organizing the home, laundering, and going on daily walks. This was a 12 hour a day job that was just what I needed as a newly postpartum single mother.
2017– 2018
OM TOTS, OmCulture
My responsibilities included checking families into the program through the POS system, making and serving tea to the families, and maintaining a safe and fun play experience for all those involved. This included setting up equipment – trampolines, rigging silks, uneven bars, balance beams, mats, etc. and taking this equipment down when finished. We also held a drum and song circle during these classes.
2020–2021
EARTHEE, Outdoor school
In this program, my co-teacher and I created curriculum for our outdoor education experience including building brush shelters, exemplifying safe ways to climb and move around the natural landscape of the forest, make fires, sing, and share in play experiences with the children ranging in age from 3-11 years old.
EDUCATION
JUNE 2012
DANCER, British Dancing Academy
I received 15 years of formal dance experience in ballet, modern, lyrical, tap, and jazz through the British Dancing Academy. I had the honor of being a soloist in the 2011 performance of The Nut Cracker.
