Summary

A shipyard/ship repair professional having more than 39 years of experience (18 plus years’ experience in ship repair firms,15 years in Marine and Project Consultancy/HR recruitment/teaching etc… and 6 plus years in shipyards).

Has worked from 75% completed level of one foreign collaborated shipyard till the 100% completion level and then continued as head of afloat repairs of the same yard and later got elevated to the Planning and Quality Control Manager of the same shipyard, the first private sector Floating Dry Dick shipyard in India which came up with collaboration of Keppel Shipyard, Singapore.

Has worked from 50% completed stage of another foreign collaborated (Lisnave, Portugal) shipyard, which was the largest private Sector Floating Dry Dock shipyard in India came upto then. The initial work was to work with The Project Director from Portugal, implementing the infrastructure as per the Project Report, to which access was given for implementation. Carried out works like underwater valves, Main Engine repairs, Auxiliary Engine repairs, almost all engine room machinery repairs like pumps, valves, compressors, boiler, cooler, pipe lines and as speciality of Dry Dock, carried out Propeller removal and seal renewal, tail shaft survey and fitting back, load testing of pedestal bearings, rudder unshipment, survey and fitting.
