Senior Configuration Analyst

Perform the duties necessary to analyze proposed changes of product design and determine effect on overall product and system. Typical duties include providing services and coordinating the following activities:

● Participation as an active member in any Integrated Product/Process Team (IPT).

● Ensure Configuration Control activities are implemented on the program.

● Assist Chairman with Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings conducted on the program.

● Assist Chairman with Configuration Steering Board (CSB) meetings conducted on the program

● Protect and maintain the government and contractor controlled technical data package (TDP).

● Development, preparation, and change control of the contractor change and Government change controlled TDP.

● Ensure all Government changes (RFDs and ECPs) are approved and contract modified prior to the delivery of hardware.

● Review and provide comments for Engineering Releases and verify that all comments have been incorporated correctly.

● Monitor all release activity after CCB approval, release, and distribution processing to ensure error-free final completion of effort.

● Coordinate resolution for errors/omissions with appropriate area of responsibility.

● Generate Engineering Releases in PDM to process documents (specifications, Engineering Release Records, etc.).

● Monitor the Enterprise Configuration Management System for overall improvement and system integrity.

The LPD17 Program combined the management of computer aided design 3D and 2D models and associated products with a change management system that provided check-in/check-out logic control of the design models forming a fully Integrated Data Environment in accordance with customer requirements. Ensured the Configuration Management System Workflow design modifications were incorporated prior to release of products to production. Tracked all changes to product designs from conception through to production. Enlisted Placement Management Activity (EPMAC)

Branch Head, SURFPACFLT, SURFLANTFLT, FDNF Enlisted Placement. Managed personnel responsible for manning the Pacific, Atlantic, and Forward Deployed Naval Force Fleet Surface Commands that encompassed over 79,000 billets. Delivered effective solutions to Enlisted Manning Inquiry reports, Pre-deployment Manning Assistance Requests, and critical manning shortfalls for sea commands. Provided critical human resource support for deploying naval forces through cross-deck, diversions and temporary assignments of naval personnel. Displayed expert negotiation skills involving Naval Executive Leadership (those receiving the needed human asset and those commands losing reassigned persons) and individual naval members involved in the reassignments. Using limited resources ensured that the Naval Manning Plan for forces going in harm’s way were more than adequately staffed and all commands received their “fair share” of limited human resources.
