Utilized engineered standards within the departments to improve and maintain a positive level of quality and productivity.

Sept - 2003 – Feb. 2005 Advance Auto Parts Inc. Gallman, MS Operations Manager Directed 3 supervisors and 115 team members in inbound and replenishment departments on 3rd shift. Was responsible for providing world-class service to 350 stores that consist of delivering at an on-time rate of 99% and shipment accuracy of 99.5%. Area consisted of 500,000 sq ft of distribution space, with automated pick modules, carousels, pick to light systems, 12,000 feet of conveyor and 55 pieces of MHE. Duties included staff development, asset protection, goal setting, productivity tracking and administrative recordkeeping. Utilize various matrixes to measure actual results versus customer service and corporate goals. Promoted from supervisor to department manager to operations manager in initial year with company.

EMPLOYMENT

Aug. 1996 – Sept. 2003 Bill’s Dollar Stores Columbia, MS Shipping Supervisor Responsible for yearly outbound shipments of $600mm to 550 retail stores that delivered on a weekly basis. Directed a staff of 48 team members and 2 hourly leads. Duties included staffing, budgeting, developmental goal setting, coordination of store billing and contract carriers. Achieved a total outbound production of 28,000 cartons per shift in a manual pick and load facility with 400,000 total sq ft. Maintained on-time deliveries at a 99.75% rate with accuracy of 99.5%. Implemented engineered standards within the shipping department that helped improve productivity by 28%. Promoted from entry level to foreman to salaried supervisor over a seven year period.
