SPECIFIC WORK EXPERIENCE :

POSITION: BARGE SUPERINTENDENT

Responsibilities undertaken are as follows:

Safety of Barge, crew and safe use of the equipment’s. Conduction of safety meetings, fire drill and abandon ship drill.

All activities safely performed on the Barge.

Maintenance (in consultation with chief Engineer) of all the equipment’s & machinery on the barge and up gradation / modifications to enhance the Barge operations.

Liaison with ABS Engineer for surveys on class and other certifications.

Monitoring and control of all maintenance subcontractors on board the Barge.

Coordination with Clients, manager Projects and Engineer Field for smooth execution of project.

Reports/ Suggestions to the Company Management for acquiring additional equipment or recruiting additional personnel on board the Barge.

Monitoring of the activities of all personnel working under the Barge Department.

Monitoring of progress of Barge Project Scope of Work.

Review survey Pattern, setting the Barge at location as per final survey pattern received from client. Perform Stability calculation and Jacking operation Mobilization of Barge as per Mobilization Plan along with Barge Mover.

Barge movement in the field after obtaining necessary permits.

Interact with the Chief Engineer / Chief Electrician on status of Barge equipment and support resources. Interact with all personnel on work related issues.

POSITION: BARGE ENGINEER

Responsibilities undertaken are as follows:

•Involved in all kind of Barge and Rig moves.

•Following as Jack UP 3 & 4-Legged Barge, Flat Barges, Construction Barge, Dredging Barges, Pipe Lay Barge, Heavy lift Barge, Cable Lay Barge, Pipe and Cable Bury Barge, Ballasting barges, Accommodation Crane Barge, Platform Installation, ROV, Diving.

•Break Water, Jetty, Quay Wall, Block Placing, Hard Core Rock Dumping (1-1000 ton, 1-3000-ton, 40 mm) Gravelling, Geo Textile Placing.

•Jacking Operation (Old & New Jack Up like Baker Marine, Marathon, KFELS etc.)

•Stability calculations.

•Monitor personnel to ensure safe work practices are followed.

•Promote HS&E Policy and Procedures to all personnel.

•On Scene Commander during an emergency.

•Helicopter landing officer.

•Ensure operating equipment is maintained and inspected.

•Ensure that lifting & rigging operations, supply boat and deck lifts are controlled and carried out safely.
