Surgery Center Group (affiliate Chase Gardens and Pacific Surgery)
Primary responsibility is to ensure Chase Gardens Surgery Center is appropriately stocked with all necessary products and equipment.
Tasks include sourcing and procuring items like; medications, c-arm machines, patient monitors, suction machines and all other items required for daily operations of the surgery center
Track and maintain equipment files for all warranties pertaining to surgical instrumentation and equipment
Materials support increased from 4 Surgeons and their support staff to 18 Surgeons and their support staff
Develop business relationships and partnerships with vendors/ suppliers to manage and monitor costs analysis, negotiations for extended or new services; including education on new products, materials and services that may be beneficial
Inventory Management planning and tracking to forecast and budget purchase requests ensuring system data is up to date and accurate
Effectively reduced waste by applying supply schedule and best practices for use including rotation of stock to ensure less waste due to expiration dates
Liaison with cross function teams like building maintenance, surgeons, nurses, front and back office medical staff and all Vendors and Suppliers
Work with affiliated facilities Materials Department(s) to secure any equipment, instrumentation or supplies needed for the center are sent and received
Schedule the coordination of repairs, installations, deliveries, and specialty services in support of the surgery center
OR set up and tear down according to sterilization standards for all suppliers, equipment, and instruments
Extended responsibilities include Patient services and Surgery assistance as needed

As the material coordinator my responsibility was to coordinate, organize and issue inventory
Order and received all medical and office supplies including back ordered materials, including all other facility material and supplies received
