I first started out my career in high school working at Hardee's in Camden, NC. I worked front and back of house at Hardee's to help both sides of the restaurant. In the front of house, I provided great customer service whilst being under a heavy work environments. I helped the company by keeping a smile on my face and provided great service to customers while they were in the drive thru. In the back of house, I helped assist other fellow work mates if they didn't know anything or if they were backed up. After that job, I worked as a dish washer for a company known as Hoppin Johnz. I washed dishes in a very high intensity environment for the store. If I fell behind, we fell behind on orders so my job was important. Not only did I have to do dishes, I had to work the salad bar. Our restaurant was one of the most loved in Elizabeth City, NC and I was glad that I was able to be apart of that. My third job I worked as a helper for a billboard company. My job was to clean up billboards and make them look good for our previous/current customers. If they didn't look good, people would stop renting them out. I couldn't let that happen. I trimmed bushes, painted, worked in very hot weather and lifted heavy things. Those were a few things that I did. My fourth job, I worked for Terracon Consults. For Terracon, I fulfilled a lot of tasks to achieve good customer service between contractors. I tested concrete, I used a nuclear gauge to achieve soil compaction, tested asphalt, and inspected footings. Those are a couple of the many thing I did at Terracon. One thing I really focused on while working at Terracon was making sure the customer was always satisfied before I left the job site. I ensured to customers while we tested that if we didn't get the result the first time, I would stay there for extra time so we could reach our goal. I wanted the customer to know that we as Terracon are there for them. The great service I provided got us a job bid for a big base job at Harvey Point. I worked that job for 6-7 months testing for Terracon providing the same outstanding service we believed in at Terracon. Other jobs I was apart of was the middle/high school additions to Moyock schools, new Sentara in Elizabeth City, a bunch of food places. Something I also did at Terracon was work super early. I started some days a 3, 4, 5 in the morning, sometimes 12! I do not mind waking up for work at any time if needed.
