SURGICAL
EXPERIENCE
• Forefoot: HAV (bunion deformity), hammertoe contracture(s), digital trauma, distal metatarsal osteotomies, skin-plasty and de-rotational techniques, plantar plate repair, management of neuroma, etc.
• Midfoot: Metatarsal fractures, Lis franc (tarsal-metatarsal joint) joint fracture/dislocations, metatarsus adductus correction, management of brachy-metatarsus (short digit), tendon & ligamentous repair/augmentation, etc.
• Hindfoot: Subtalor joint arthrodesis, triple arthrodesis (STJ, Calcaneal- Cuboid & Talo-navicular), pes planovalgus correction (calcaneal osteotomies), STJ arthroeresis, calcaneal fracture, navicular fracture, tendon & ligamentous repair/augmentation, etc.
• Ankle: ORIF of ankle fractures, percutaneous and open TAL (Tendo- Achilles Lengthening) for the management of equinus contracture, gastrocnemius recession(s), ankle arthrotomy, ankle arthroscopy, lateral ankle instability, etc.
• Tibia/Fibula: Correction of deformities related to Blount's Disease, complex ankle fractures, complicated trauma cases: pilon fracture, comminuted tibia and fibula fracture.
• Trauma cases of upper and lower extremities. Multiple hand and elbow elective cases. Total knee, hip and elbow replacements. Arthroscope of knee, hip and shoulder. Lower extremity external fixations.
• Charcot Neuroarthropathy reconstruction, Diabetic foot limb salvage and reconstruction, endoscopic & open plantar fasciotomy, orthotic casting and fabrications.
• Wound care & Limb Salvage: Weekly rotations at the New York Methodist Hospital Wound care and Hyperbaric (HBO) Therapy Center, Synthetic Skin Grafts (Integra, Acell, Graft Jacket, Apligraf, etc.), Autologous wound dressings; split thickness skin grafts
