CURRENT

I have worked in security for most of my adult employment starting with Military service in 1970 to my present position as security officer for Applied Operations Security. Since September 2019 I’ve been employed as site Lead Security Officer at MATES area at Fort Hood, Temple, Texas I have found that many of the skills I mastered in the military and Bell County 911 communications are readily transferred to my duties as a Lead Officer. Currently, I have a chance to expand my role as Site Security Manager. This role would fully utilize my skills in Personnel management, Customer Service, as well as ensuring adherence to continued quality in their daily operations.

NOVEMBER 1970 TO 1984

Joined the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of Tech Sargent until I was medically retired due to a knee injury. During this time my training and responsibilities included: emergency management, Logistics officer, and supply admin officer. I served at Air Force Bases including: March, Viet Nam, Beale, Loring, Araxos Greece and Viet Nam.

1984 TO 1990

I was hired as an EMT and Paramedic. after successful completion of a military training program. I served in this capacity until my marriage in 1990 and subsequent move to Temple, TX.

1992 TO 1994

I was employed by Scott & White as pulmonary tech. 1994 TO 1998

I was hired by the City of Temple as a 911 operator until the 1998 Consolidation of local Dispatch Centers.

1998 2014

At Bell County Communications I was assigned as dispatcher, trainer, and radio communications officer for 7 county regional dispatch centers. This included assistance to other counties during the Katrina hurricane disaster. I retired in 2014 after serving 20 years.

2014 2017

I worked for The Hop in Temple, TX, as a rural dispatcher. 2017 2019

I went to work for Walden Security serving as Lead Officer. I have found that many of the skills I mastered in the military and Bell County 911 readily transferred to my duties as a Lead Officer. Currently, I have a chance to expand my role in Walden Security as an Account Manager in the Commercial Services Division. This role fully utilized my skills in Personnel management, Customer Service, as well as always ensuring adherence to continued quality in Walden’s daily operations. I elected to transfer to a new employer to avoid having to drive the 120-mile trip for work, especially during a gas crisis.

2019 2021

I worked for Veterans Securing America as an armed security guard. Their contract expired in January 2021 and I went to work for Allied Universal. 3

2021 present

I went to work for work for Applied Operations Security site supervisor at N. Ft. Hood.

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION, 1970, WILL ROGERS HS-TULSA, OKLAHOMA. ADDITIONAL TRAINING

Multiple training classes completed in each of the above positions, such as CPR, Dispatcher response, and other required training.

College credits through the Community College of the Air Force in Disaster Preparedness and in Computer-Radio Technology.

Paramedic Certification from the College of Great Falls, MT. SKILLS
