I was a Nanny for a family of 3 Children, ages 9,7 and 3. My job duties consisted of first and foremost making sure the children were Always in a Safe environment that provided for their growth needs (physical, cognitive and emotional) Also, I attended to any meal preparation, taking the children to doctor and/or dentist appointments when needed as well as taking the children for Fun activities such as Water-Parks, Playgrounds, Library, Shopping, etc. I organized creative and educational activities based on the ages of the children that they would find both stimulating and enjoyable.

Aside from childcare, I would also be responsible for other child related tasks, such as doing laundry, making beds, cleaning home, helping with any homework and organizing activity schedules for the week.

It was an extremely rewardable experience being a Nanny. You get to watch a child grow in real-time, support and teach them new things and celebrate early experiences they have in life.

This position was completed due to the fact, the Mother had to go out of work for major surgery and was not able to return to that position as she could not be on her feet for several months. She is now a Stay-At-Home Mom. I do, however, still occasionally watch her children when she and her fiancée have their “Date” nights or Special Occasions to attend.
