1-Chief of TMS of Refresh Mental Health Group.

Private Practice Group: Silicon Valley TMS, Saad A. Shakir, M.D. and Associates- Founder and medical director: a small group practice providing a multidisciplinary team of clinicians including, medical personnel, mid-level providers, psychologists, counselors and other ancillary staff delivering individually tailored treatments for patients and their families. 1994-Present.

2-Silicon Valley Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS): founder and medical director providing state of the arts, FDA approved treatment that is noninvasive, without systemic side effects for the treatment of depression. Jan 2011-Present. We have 17 treatment systems in 5 locations.

3-Past President of Northern California TMS Society March 2012-Present.

4-Founding board members of Clinical TMS Society (National and International TMS Society) March 2013 – May 2017

5-Chief medical officer for Care Program for Refugees (CPR): Developed Summer 2014. A nonprofit program that Dr. Shakir co-developed to help devastated victims of trauma and war as well as refugees in war-torn countries; the program includes educational and therapeutic components to help individuals in areas of the world where they do not have access to appropriate medical or psychiatric assessments and treatments.

- IMSA International Internet University: founded and developed in collaboration with Wired International, educational programs that will be packaged and delivered through the latest advances in informational technology (IT) to doctors and other healthcare providers in developing countries, free of charge to enhance the highest standards of education in a variety of fields of medicine.

- In May 2010 led a medical mission to help refugees in Iraq and Jordan that were displaced by the war, providing consultation, as well as training programs to doctors in those countries who serve those refugees.
