Currently I am working as program officer in Ayuda en Accion Ethiopia which is Spain based international NGO at Arsi Field Office. Prior to that, I have been working as monitoring and Evaluation officer for PSNP (Livelihood component) at Arsi Zone for six (6) years, Team leader in Land use & Environmental protection office for four (4) years. Beside this, I have worked in Agriculture & Rural Development office as an Extension & Rural Development expert. Furthermore, I have also worked Oromia Irrigation Development Authority as a Soil & water conservation expert, Irrigation Agronomist expert, community mobilization expert, water harvesting expert & Irrigation Extension Agent in East Hararge Zone and west shewa zone for the last 20 years.

Carry out program activities implementation on the bases of jointly developed and agreed action plan together with government sector office, communities and community leaders.

Provide technical guidance, support and supervise the project activates in the field level mobilizing the community facilitators, volunteers, community leaders and government sector staffs.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

monitoring of program activities, recording changes/progress and program impact assessment and evaluation and work in close coordination and collaboration with the Livelihood coordination unit and other extension staff in the region then, report to the Livelihood coordination unit and extension Core Process.

Establishment and operation of the Livelihood M&E process through adopting within the frame-work of FSP and Collaborate with the M&E participating institutions within FSP components and others to provide required information and timely preparation to submit periodical reports;

Develop necessary tools for monitoring and evaluation of Livelihood activities and ensure M&E systems are in place in line with FSP frame-work;

Develop (within the FSP framework) and/or make sure Livelihood monitoring and evaluation system linked to strategies, plans, indicators, and data collection and information management tools;

Coordinate, team guidance and mentoring on M&E related activities within the extension core process;

Promote credit life and savings-led micro insurance to PSNP clients through RuSACCo/others

Coordinate and organize annual work plan preparation of the extension merge with that of cooperative promotion office (RUSACCOs ) by consolidating with the work plans of Woredas to submit it to regions after the approval of respective committees and authorities within agriculture office;

Coordinate/carry out M&E periodical reviews (mid-term and annual) in consultation and coordination with Livelihood stakeholders and development partners;

Plans coordinates and implements different on-farmers and on-station research activities;

Working together with Research institution disseminating new technologies to the farmers through training & Demonstration on the farm land.

by preparing field days at the Demonstration site (FTC) and on-farm lands best practices are provided to the farmers, especially crops that have high value at the market.

Collection and summarization of Research qualitative and quantitative data for advanced research activities so that the preparation of scientific progress report could be easier;

Assessment of skill gap among the Development Agent & Farmers then, Designs various training proposals based on results of need assessment to address felt needs by providing training especially at FTC and woreda level.
