Collector

Monitor and manage assigned past due consumer loans for a number of clients within the Firm’s Collection Department by maintaining a high degree of customer contact through inbound and outbound customer calls.

Independently interpret and apply our client’s collection and servicing guidelines to the collection of delinquent debts and other obligations.

Contact past due consumers and businesses to arrange for debt payoffs, debt settlements, debt repayment plans and schedules. Prepare, send and collect debt repayment agreements for these delinquent accounts with the past due consumers and businesses. Monitor the collection of the monthly payments on the repayment agreements from the past due consumers and businesses. Report non payments to management so past due consumers assets can be reviewed and attached and past due consumers wages can be garnished. In the Encompass Loan System, receive electronic loan file submissions from branches through a pipeline. Initiate first pack in calls with new borrowers welcoming them to the company and setting the proper expectations and deadlines. Send borrowers initial needs email while providing supreme customer service throughout the entire loan process.

Assist loan officers, originators, processors and underwriters by ordering property related items as needed (i.e., appraisals, desk reviews, etc.).

Contact and assist borrowers to collect and verify all pertinent related needs and conditional approval requested documentation from the underwriter is received and sent to the processor to send to the underwriter for review to get the approval to close and fund the loan.

Assist the Title Company with any and all documentation necessary to obtain clear title and first lien position for the company on the loan.

Upload documents and information into the appropriate software programs after received from the borrowers to create a transferable investor file and permanent borrower loan file as per the loan guidelines.

Schedule closings with the borrowers and the Title Company (Notary/Attorney) and review the Initial and the Final Closing Disclosures with the borrowers prior to their closing.

Follow up with the Title Company and the borrowers after each closing to ensure all funds were disbursed as per the Final Closing Disclosure and that all funds were received by the borrowers and all loans that were supposed to be paid off were paid off and all documents were signed, notarized and returned to the company, filed and recorded.

The Blue Team handled all self-employed borrowers, borrowers with manufactured homes, borrowers in Trusts, borrowers coming out of Trusts, borrowers going through a divorce and separation, and very difficult situations. The types of loans that required special attention to detail, delicate handling and finesse when it came to customer service, information gathering, scheduling, closing and funding.
