January 2012 to October 2012

My primary job was in assembly. My job was to build right side brake assemblies. I would first build centers, a geared center of the inside brake assembly. I would then build the assembly properly, making sure all parts were correct in part number and installation. At the end of the night, I would enter into the computer what parts I had done, and in work orders, the number done. I would also stock up my parts at the end of the night. My secondary job was to work in the final drive area. There, I built inner carriers, dropped the inner carriers into the hubs, put in the seals, and put on the lids to tighten them down to the proper torque setting.

Volt Technical Services – (Caterpillar Mossville)

401 SW Water Street Peoria, Illinois 61602 309-***-****

March 2011 to July 2011

Initially, my job was to inspect pistons on the piston line, ensuring that the correct heads, rods, and rings were being used, and installed properly. Three weeks after starting that, I moved to engine inspector. There, I would inspect engine blocks partially assembled, making sure that all the outer components of the engine were correct, tightened properly, and oriented in the direction needed. In the event we found discrepancies, we would either tag them for our repair guy to fix, or send them back to the "boneyard" have more extensive work done to them. In the event that we found no errors with the engine, we would tag them to be moved to building DD for further inspecting.

August 2010 to March 2011

My job as a kitter involved obtaining a pick list of parts used for assembly. As I picked these parts, I would check first to be sure all the parts were available. I would then go thru and pick each part, using piece verification, making sure all parts were the correct parts. After I obtained all the parts on the list, I would recheck each part, then move the cart containing the pieces to the packers, for packing and shipping.
