• Conducts inspection, diagnostics and repairs, and installation of robotic bending machines, including hydraulics, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and drawings, for layout and installation of industrial manufacturing equipment. Prepares supply requisition forms and proper maintenance documentation using integrated maintenance tracking systems.

U.S. Air Force

Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician/Supervisor/Program Manager July 2003 - December 2018

• Performs periodic inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and operation of all associated electro-mechanical support equipment for 100+ F-16/F-35 fighter aircraft and A-10 ground attack aircraft (Diesel A/C, Nitro Service Cart, Floodlight Carts, Wheel & Brake Dolly, Aircraft & Axle Jacks, Hydraulic Mule, Turbine Engines, Air Compressor, Maintenance Stands, Cranes (Cobra, Cherry Picker), -10 A/C (2 ton SUV-sized unit), Aircraft Panel Curing Heaters, F-35 Polyalphaolefin (PAO) Cart/Combined Air and Generation Cart), and 400 Hz Diesel Generator).

• Responsible for equipment inspections, unscheduled maintenance actions, and replace electrical components for various systems towards supporting the unit’s mission readiness above 90% (alternators, generators, generator cables, temperature controllers, heat exchangers, photocell controls, and minifuses); regular use of composite tool kits, digitized maintenance history, and handled/disposed of hazardous materials per official guidelines.

• With less than 6 months at the unit as a new Airman, was assigned to a non-operating hydraulic test stand using electrical valves; over 3 days, troubleshot the cause using the complete schematic and wiring diagram, and isolated a wire that ground out.

• Requested to train 15 Republic of Korea Air Force personnel on operation, maintenance, and safety procedures for multiple ground support systems and equipment while deployed.

• Led a shift of 28 Airmen as the unit transitions to the F-35, assigning all maintenance/inspection tasks; selected to write up the first Air Force technical order/manual for the F-35 PAO Cart using Boeing’s complete technical data and instructions.

• Spent one week working with a Boeing engineer on a non-working hydraulic test stand; notified the technical writer of a new update for Air Force distribution (a large wiring bundle needed to be suspended permanently away from another electrical component as the RF interference was causing the unit to shut down).

• Requested three separate times to be Equipment Assistant Manager (normally one paygrade higher); assigned and generated work orders for all scheduled inspections within the section accomplishing 600+ scheduled inspections annually, verifying all completed work and performing quality assurance inspections, maintaining 100% compliance.

• Oversaw 32 programs to include logistics, equipment acquisition, sustainment, facility management, and technical data management; rewrote the periodic inspection schedule for 150 pieces of equipment (semi-annual and annual) without conflicts or overlaps.
