i. PATH PLANNING FOR AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOT USING PID CONTROLLER PURPOSE

The aim of the robot path planning is to search a safe path for the mobile robot. Also the path is required to be optimal. In this sense, several research work tackling the path planning problem have been proposed in the literature.

WORKING

• Wrote a path planner for an autonomous robot to perform complete coverage path planning incorporating obstacle avoidance using cellular decomposition and occupancy grid .

• To built a simulated virtual 3D environment and to-the-scale robot model using Stage simulator demonstrated the planner with laser and coverage percentage.

• The tested the algorithm using iRobot Create in an indoor environment with obstacles and analyzed.
