12/2007 – 8/2020. Southwestern Medical Center, Lawton, OK: General Medical Laboratory Technician / 15 hours per week (time frame overlaps with the position below). Duties similar to below. 12/2007 - 12/2018. Fort Sill Army Hospital, Fort Sill, OK: Federal employee - GS07, Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Technician / 40 hours per week. Performed duties as the Lead Tech for the hospital blood bank. Managed the daily operations of the lab and operated lab equipment valued in excess of two million dollars. Operated automated blood bank equipment including the Ortho Clinical Diagnostics ProVue, Tango Optima and Tango Infinity. Trained Army enlisted student personnel in their medical Military Occupational Specialty. Trained military permanent staff personnel and federal civilian personnel in techniques and in lab processes and procedures. Improved internal processing procedures. Responsible for quality control procedures. Provided after hours telephonic support to on-shift personnel. When needed, returned to the hospital to assist the after-hours shift. Input orders and results into the Composite Health Care Computer System; taught others these procedures. Assisted military officers and other supervisory personnel in preparations for external inspections. Instrumental in the lab achieving

“no deficiencies” inspections. Performed the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly calibration and maintenance checks and services on the lab equipment; kept accurate records of these actions. Received awards and letters of commendation. Retired from this position.
