Material Handling Equipment Certification

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Reads and follow the proper work instructions, procedures, policies, safety procedures and completes

various forms and reports.

Oversees activities of work team, including training to company and job requirements, ensuring quantity

and quality of work meets expectations. Provides input to supervisor/manager relative to performance

evaluations. Maintains time and production records.

Leads daily huddles and attends/participates in daily production meetings.

Facilitates daily planning.

Accountable for team performance and leads monthly work team performance reviews.

Identifies performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Acts as point of contact for team issues (not individual personnel issues).

Creates team engagement, builds consensus for team decisions.

Escalates issues as appropriate.

Follows standard work team practices as appropriate.

Fills all orders in a timely fashion.

Executives work orders and production schedules to meet customer expectations and company

requirements.

Reviews completed orders for errors or omissions.

Shrink wrappers, Tipping machinery, flow wrappers, taping equipment, bundlers and stretch wrappers. Recommends measures to improve the productivity of operators and equipment.

Uses computers and label printers, creates labels required to identify and track product through the

production and shipping process.

Responsible for the process of product through the warehouse procedures to ensure the integrity of the

production (sequential controls, physical damage controls). Responsible for the control of product into and

out of secured areas.

Maintains departmental work instructions and customer work orders, and advises coworkers of new or

revised information on products or merchandise such as product capability and shipping.

Assists with work procedures, work schedules and expedites workflow.

Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.

Works with protected health information and maintains appropriate safeguards by complying with

Complemars policies and procedures related to HIPAA.

Active team participant while operating within the team boundaries.

Leads Inventory Management Team in performing warehouse operations according to company operating

principles, policies and procedures.

Maintains thorough knowledge of all inventory processes.

Recommends measures for improving warehousing methods, equipment performance, and quality of

product to increase department efficiency.

Controls inventory levels by conducting cycle counts and physical audits.

Proactively identifies and acts upon opportunities to remove waste within the warehouse environment.

Foster a culture or process improvement on all shifts.

Ensure all material handling equipment is in good operating condition.

Coordinate material handling equipment maintenance.

Create and follow preventive maintenance schedule.

Collect, review and maintain files for all Daily Equipment Checklists, initiating resolution of all issues

identified on each checklist.

Communicate all issues with material handling equipment to the Production Manager.

Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse following 7S housekeeping requirements.

Mentor and train all new team members.

Schedule and execute regular inspections of all rack structures in the warehouse for damage.

Record all observed damage to any structure within the warehouse.

Communicate severe and/or potentially dangerous damage to the Production Manager immediately.

Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize

operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.

Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with management.

Reviews production, quality control and warehouse reports and statistics to plan and modify warehouse

activities.

Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.

Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies required for operations.

Champions safety as a key priority for everyone, encouraging them to become actively involved in

enhancing workplace safety, as well as being alert to and addressing safety violations.
