Right after graduating high school I got into the construction field and acquired various related skills and knowledge. With about 5 years experience on a job site I am proficient with many hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Having a creative imagination and attention to detail I’ve received praise from mutiple supervisors. That coupled with my joy of working with my hands I’ve always expected to find a career in construction or something close.

Work Experience
Bartender
Pat and Frans Irish Pub - Coralville, IA
May 2021 to November 2021
Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to the recipes for guests at the bar and in the restaurant. Helping guests be aware of and choose menu items, taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their visit. Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service.
Landscaper
Fiddlehead Gardens - Iowa City, IA
March 2020 to May 2020
Delivery Driver
goPuff - Iowa City, IA
October 2018 to January 2019
As a delivery driver for goPuff all I was responsible for was making sure the order was packed right, contacting the customer, and delivering the order within 30 minutes of receiving the order. I didn’t want to work as a delivery driver to begin with however my friend needed drivers pretty bad. It was very common to not have any orders for hours at a time and there would be nothing for me to do. Warehouse Worker
Crescent Electric Supply Company - Iowa City, IA
June 2018 to September 2018
While working for Crescent I was partially responsible for sending and receiving orders, stocking the shelves, organizing materials, keeping the warehouse clean, and setting up will call orders. Unfortunately I found myself bored with nothing to do a lot of the time and felt the job wasn’t a good fit for me. Meter Technician
CCI - Cedar Rapids, IA
September 2017 to January 2018
While working at CCI I was responsible for safely removing old electric meters and installing new ones making sure not to leave a mess. Along with that, I was responsible for a company truck, and interacting with costumers in a professional manner. I never struggled with the long list of rules and requirements set by the company and I received no complaints from customers. Concrete polisher
Decorative Concrete Surfaces - Solon, IA
October 2014 to July 2017
While working at DCS I worked closely with the owner and helped with supervision of other employees. A typical day would consist of running the polisher, hand polishing the edges of the floor where the polishers couldn’t reach, clean up, disposal of slurry and interacting with customers or the general contractor on the job. Often times a machine would breakdown and the crew and I would be required to troubleshoot and fix the problem whenever possible. While working for DCS I did a fair amount of traveling and would be responsible for staying motivated and ensuring progress on the job while the owner wasn’t there. Electrician's Helper
Gerard electric - Iowa City, IA
July 2012 to February 2014
Having taken an electrical course in high school I had no problem picking up the basics and more while on the job. I was responsible for helping the foreman, the journeymen, and apprentices with pretty much everything under the sun. Most commonly I would help pull wire, help rough in boxes in the walls and ceilings, install devices, bend pipe, and pick up/deliver material from job to job. Most of my experience is commercial but I also did a small amount of residential. The majority of work was normal power but I also helped with fire alarm quite a bit. On multiple occasions I received praise for my work ethic and quick learning.
