Data Center and Infrastructure Implementations

Supported the management of Data Center infrastructure implementations to host cloud based applications for CISCO clients.

Drove the development of a process for governance implementation for Data Center migrations, consolidations and retrofits.

Developed the end to end process model and documentation for adding, moving or decommissioning infrastructure assets within a data center. The Agile methodology, daily scrums and user stories were used in the development and documentation of the process models.

Successfully and in record time transitioned GM’s multi million dollar Product Data Management (PDM) application development and support program for the Teamcenter system, which was managed for 2 years in EDS to UGS. As part of this the SDLC development method of EDS used for development was mapped to the UGS SDLC development method.

Program Manager

Project: Program Management of GM Product Data Standardization & PDM

Managed worldwide CAD/CAM/PDM technology implementations for GM to improve product data interoperability, product data management and system communization. $2 Million Dollar per year and 20 person programs

Responsible for the GM program to customize the PDM system (Teamcenter) to GM requirements.

1.Several team leaders were managed as part of the program. They used the EDS SDLC development methodology.

2.Conducted sessions for requirements gathering from several GM divisions to generate a

consolidated set of requirements

3.Coordinated the development of the requirements to be done by the vendor – UGS

4.Ensured that the custom developed functionality was tested and bundled for implementation.

5.Managed the financials and expenses to ensure that the project was producing the profit margins expected of EDS while staying within the budget

Managed the development of several prototype applications to demonstrate the integration capabilities of the ISO standard data model between varied CAD systems and between CAD systems and product management systems (Teamcenter).
