Recent undergraduate with a completion in a Bachelor of Art in Psychology. I want to further my education so that in the future, I will be able to support and guide individuals during difficult and challenging times. Moreover, I have hands-on experience dealing with the mental health and behavioral health population, for adolescents and adults. I maintained the safety and wellbeing of economically and socially disadvantaged patients that were referred by public agencies and private sector providers. Through my ten plus years of experience working in the mental health population I developed excellent social and verbal communication skills. I demonstrated empathy and compassion towards the patients by creating good interpersonal skills with the community. I can work in groups or a team setting. I continue to educate myself and learn as much on the needs of the mental health population. I completed education courses in alcohol and drug addiction, behavioral, and mental illness disorders. I am looking forward to building more skills to address the improvement of individuals self-esteem, promote changes in behavior and strive for improved mental well-being.
