Summit Mortgage Corp. (Dec 2021-July 2022).
Position Held: Underwriter Team Lead
*Responsible for training new Underwriters while supporting existing Underwriters to obtain new credentials
*Perform 2nd sign for all Jumbo Products. As well as approve debt ratio, credit score, loan to value and collateral exceptions.
*Responsible for staying up to date on all Agency and Investor guidelines. As well as oversee policy distribution to Underwriting Teams
*Monitor Underwriting Teams production through available reports to ensure target goads, objectives and company standards are being met.
*Handle escalation of files from Underwriters, Processor and Loan Officers to ensure the original Underwriter has issued accurate credit decision/approval/conditions.
*Assist in age reporting and investor suspense conditions

Better Mortgage (Jan 2021-Dec 2021)
Position Held: Underwriter
*Underwriter and decision FHA/Conforming mortgage loans
*Verify and analyze all necessary financial information and documents; to ensure that loan files contain necessary credit and legal documents
*Review appraisal reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies discovered to insure collateral meets investor guidelines
*Evaluate creditworthiness of borrowers in order to render a credit decision. This includes but not limited to the review of paystubs, W2’s, financial statements, tax returns, asset statements and credit reports.
*Calculate income/self employed cash flow using documentation and methodology required by investor. Analyze business’s financial strength by examining annual earnings, stability and validity.
*Assure SLA turntimes for: Final Approval within 24 hours. Suspense and condition review within 24-48hours.
*Communicate effectively and engage proactively with Loan Officer, Processor, Manager, Closer and Post Closers; in regards to loan decisions, conditions and loan scenarios.
*Coach/counsel Loan Officers and Processors in the interpretation and application of underwriting guidelines. While providing guidance and recommendations.

*Qualify and decision FHA, Conforming and Bond Mortgage loans utilizing both manual and AUS engines
