Employment and Volunteer History
I currently volunteer for the Dawsonville Community Food Bank. I fill boxes, help people take food to their vehicle and help organize the distribution area. I have only been doing this a few weeks, but it really brings joy to my heart being able to give back to others.
From April of 2021 until I moved back to Georgia in March of 2022 I worked for the North Central Counsel on Aging at the Golden Wheel location in Minneapolis, Ks. I filled in for the cook when she needed time off and I also filled in for the Office Manager when she needed time off. Besides cooking, cleaning and distributing meals, I was responsible for keeping records of meals that were distributed, documenting payments, and preparing the spreadsheets for the next day.
From September 2020 until February 2022, I was a Foster Parent. Beyond caring for the children placed in our care I was responsible for documenting appointments, visits, behavior, and medical records. My husband and I took several classes and tests to become a licensed home and maintain our license.
From February of 2020 to September 2020, I was the office manager for Masterpiece Painting and Remodeling, LLC. I was responsible for writing contracts, correspondence with clients, keeping detailed records of expenses and income, payroll, hiring, advertising, and billing. The company became a victim of the covid epidemic.
From November of 2018 to July of 2019, I worked for Salina Concrete as an Office Assistant until they closed. I was responsible for filing, mailing invoices, accepting payments, assisting customers with their orders, document accuracy, and assisting the managers with their projects.
Before I moved to Kansas to care for my Stepdad, I was doing Foster Care in Cumming, Ga.
Education and Training
I attended online college majoring in Event Planning and Minoring in Accounting. Due to a major life change, I was unable to graduate.
I completed Foster Care classes including CPR in Miltonvale, Ks.
I completed training at Lansing Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer in 1999.
I completed my GED at Little House Adult Education in Salina, Ks in 1997.

I am proficient in Word, Excel, Google, Customer Service, able to learn quickly, and Customer Relations. I am learning Power Point and contract placement.
About Me
I am a Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. I enjoy spending time with my family, doing crafts, working on my 1971 Pontiac GTO, working in my garden, volunteering at the food bank, cleaning my house, traveling, fishing, and going to Church. I keep busy and love life! I have goals for my life. I enjoy working and I want a career, not just a job. I look forward to waking up, going to work, and accomplishing my goals. Failure is not an option for my life. I don’t mind messing up, I learn from it, fix it and do better in the future. Failure is giving up, I don’t give up!
