Manage and coordinate the development and delivery of locally sponsored projects and plans, (including bridge, roadway, TAP projects and transportation studies) in a timely manner and within budget.
Develops project reimbursement and supplement agreements for local sponsors. Assists other Project Managers on reimbursement agreements as needed.
Oversees disbursement of local project funding. Reviews and approves Consultant invoices in a timely manner. Manages project fund distribution with local, state and federal funding agencies. Assist in updating and keeping Local projects prioritized per the Department’s Plan (TYP).
Assists local sponsors in the development of their engineering agreements in ECMS.
Leads all communication between consultants, Design, Maintenance and Construction, striving to keep good customer service and keeping the projects moving efficiently and as effectively as possible.
Attends public meetings, facilitates meetings with Consultants, Sponsors, and District Units and prepares correspondence related to the project for distribution with other units.
Coordinates with all District Units for reviews of Scope of Work and Staff-Hour estimates. Ensures consultants for all local projects follow Department approved selection procedures.
Schedules and coordinates project meetings including scoping field views, design field views, utility meetings, safety reviews, plan checks, constructability reviews, and status meetings throughout the design process and through construction.
Review construction plans, construction cost estimates, schedules, line & grade and typical section submissions, design field views, right-of-way plans, etc., to ensure a quality P.S. & E. package is prepared. Ensures all documentation is completed during the process.
Assists other Local Project Managers with their projects as needed. Always eager to help as a team player to solve and help any issues that occur in local projects.
Reviews and Prepares Consultant PS&E packages for quality control, completeness and accuracy, and adherence to Department Specifications.
Delegates, reviews work, approves and signs payroll for others in squad.
Current and completed projects include: Plum Creek 6, Pittsfield Bridge, Coffee Run, Little Deer Creek 5, West Ohio Street/Ridge Ave., Fleming Park Bridge, Jacks Run Bridge, Robinson Run, Deer Creek 9, CBD Signal Phase 3, Pine Creek Bridge 8.
Highway Designer 2009-2017
Developed, design and drafted quality roadway and bridge projects on time and within budget.
Supported communication between Design, Maintenance, and Construction.
Prepared Plan, Specification and Estimate (PS&E) packages for non-complex projects and assisted in the drafting and development of components of moderately complex to complex projects including complete highway plans and associated horizontal and vertical highway alignments, design calculations, construction details, tabulation of quantities, maintenance-of-traffic plans, pavement-marking plans, erosion and sedimentation control plans, and cross sections.
Interpreted and plotted deeds to develop right-of-way plans. Interpreted conventional and three-dimensional surveys to produce plan sheets of existing geometry.

Used AutoTab to generate the tabulation and summary sheets, as well as the construction estimate.
