I am a former Nurse Corps Officer whom transitioned out of the Army after 8+ years. In my years in service I was granted many opportunities to acquire a number of skills by serving as a charge nurse the majority of the time coordinating and providing patient within a multidisciplinary team. This helped me excel in my leadership skills and provide safe patient care with excellent critical thinking and communication skills. A majority of my career was spent in Labor and Delivery where my skills and passion for women’s health was nurtured. Furthering my education at Emory University, and starting my career as a provider during the challenging times of the COVID pandemic, I am in search of full-time employment at a respectable company to continue providing excellent care to the community.

Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

Complete assessment and physical pertaining to women with urogynecological conditions to include, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic pain and interstitial cystitis.

Pessary fitting and maintenance and cleaning

Treatment and follow up of lichen sclerosis, vaginal atrophy, dyspareunia

Perform urodynamics studies to assist in plan of care of patients experiencing urinary frequency, urgency, urge and stress incontinence and voiding dysfunction

Serves as a Clinical Staff Nurse of an 18-bed Labor & Delivery Unit in a 191-bed DoD Army Medical Center.

Responsible for the administration of safe, competent nursing care, and delivery of services for an average monthly census of 210 deliveries and 900 outpatient visits

Performed as charge nurse, supervises 7-8 registered nurses and paraprofessional staff.

Participates in unit quality improvement, staff development, and continuing education.

Direct care of up to 12 inpatient gravidas women, including coaching all stages of labor, observation for antepartum women after 20 weeks gestation, circulating for cesarean section cases and recovery of all cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.

Managed care of high-risk pregnancies, intrauterine fetal demise, post-partum hemorrhage, and induction of labor. Provided teaching for post-partum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding.

Triage nurse for 6 bed triage, triaging patients to help identify the need for admission, further evaluation or discharge to home.

Spent over 100 hours as a preceptor to nursing students and new employees to guide an overall positive clinical and/or orientation experience.
