Directed project converting two major Direct Store Delivery vendor to a computerized ordering system. Major benefits included but not limited to an immediate cost reduction of 10%, reduction of inventory up to 30%, improvement in out of stocks, utilization of trucks that had been Back Hauling empty. Vendors able to redistribute staff and forego fleet expansion.

Major contributor to computer generated store ordering project plan. Coordinated team of 4-6 programmers in development of data schema, ETL, Logical design order controls, construction of ordering software, tuning of forecast engine, etc. Project in first year reduced store inventory by $7M.

Supervised all aspects of HEB retail system replacement. Team members varied over course of project from 4-10 individuals. System constructed using DB2, consolidated 3 retail data structures, and increased accuracy of tags/scan from a poor 88% to above industry standard of 99%. Mitigated the strong possibility of fines/required marking of price from the “Department of Weights and Measure.” Met reporting requirements set by the government which previously had proven costly and time consuming.

24x7 on-call experience which later became overseeing the on-boarding of onshore teams of 4-5 as well as offshore teams.

SME of 5 major systems: retail, store ordering, DSD, reporting for ordering system, and product sourcing.
