Field Technology Officer – INFOSEC 09/2012 – Present Performed Risk Analyses for as many as ten international locations for US Customs & Border Protection to determine the extent for the potential threat and the risk to the systems, for its life cycle. Risk Assessment used the following variables to ascertain if there was indeed a viable and exercisable threat but, not limited to: System Characterization, Threat Identification, Vulnerability Identification, Determine Susceptibility, Risk Definition, Security Control Analysis, Likelihood Determination, Impact Analysis, Risk Level Determination, and Physical Security Controls. Risk Assessments were performed by completing personal interviews, on-site visits (which could also include personal interviews as well as observations of the physical, environmental, and operational securities of the systems; analyses of known threats to the system by researching vendor and other websites; document reviews; vulnerability scans; other, which could include photos or images of the on-site facilities. Used a Low, Moderate and or High methodology for assessing the risk rating scale. Mitigated compromised computers by following US Customs & Border Protection SOPs, which included but, were not limited to: Securing the physical compromised system; re-imaging with a fresh copy of Windows 10 removing and forwarding to the Security Operations Center the physical hard-drive for further analysis. Managed the Local Area Networks and performed maintenance on the Department of Homeland Security Preflight Inspections at Denver International, Centennial, Rocky Mountain, Gypsum and Colorado Springs Airports Windows 2016 servers; consisting of day-to-day new user account creations, password resets, Domain user object moves, on a 365X24X7 basis; create, modify and delete Microsoft AD user and computer objects; assigning the user with appropriate site group memberships; activate and deactivate, both User and computer objects. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and upgrade Microsoft workstations and servers. Assumed, maintained, and trained the on-hands software support for Microsoft application programs, including Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010, 2016, 2019, and Office 365 software applications. Unpacked, configured and installed both CISCO and JUNIPER network switches. Installed CISCO routers. Advised and directed employees, regarding US-CBP security policies, procedures and directives as issued by OIT management.
