The Great Rates Hotline is a department within FedEx TechConnect.
Our goal is to capture potential lost business and improve customer experience by offering competitive pricing for shipments moving on eligible FedEx Express Services to destinations within the U.S. and internationally between the U.S. and all 220 countries and territories we serve (excluding Puerto Rico)
After capturing the business we will apply the great rate to the client’s account, schedule the pickup and book the shipment via a software named CargoRes
Forwarding of billing discrepancies to our assigned Invoice Adjustment Team member by documentation
Documentation of Quotes with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Providing information for the Packaging Desk Hotline
Handle customer’s request’s for Escalations to Management team
Air Freight and LTL Freight Specialist
Researching and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment
Scheduling and booking of International, and Domestic Freight including IATA shipments
Negotiating contracts, transportation and handling costs obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations
Offering consolidation services by air and road – ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions to small shippers with insufficient cargo to utilize their own dedicated units
Arranging air transport for urgent and high-value freight and managing the risk door to door
utilizing e-commerce, internet technology and satellite systems to enable real-time tracking and tracing of goods
